Transfer of diplomatic competence for Gabon and Equatorial Guinea to the Embassy in Brazzaville

Following a transfer of jurisdiction, our Embassy's diplomatic competence for Gabon and Equatorial Guinea have ended today, 1 September 2026. The Embassy of Belgium in Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo) will from now on be the sole competent point of contact for all diplomatic matters.

Consular services relating to Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, including the processing of visa applications, will continue to be provided by the Embassy of Belgium in Yaoundé until further notice.

Transfer of jurisdiction for the Republic of Chad to the Embassy in Yaoundé

We would like to inform you that, as of today, 1 September 2026, the diplomatic competence and all consular services relating to Chad, including the processing of visa applications, will be handled by the Embassy of Belgium in Yaoundé.

Consequently, the Embassies of the Kingdom of Belgium in Niamey and Ouagadougou will no longer have responsibility, respectively, for diplomatic and consular matters concerning Chad.

Note: applications for short-stay visas will continue to be submitted in N’Djamena at the French Embassy, as is currently the case.
